Here at Tremco CPG UK, we have recently celebrated National Customer Service Week to highlight the hard work and team effort of our unwavering customer service team. However, we don’t want to stop the acknowledgement there. Located in Leicester, Tremco CPG UK’s Distribution Centre is a bustling hub of activity, responsible for fulfilling the demands of our customer base throughout the UK and Ireland. To ensure a high standard of operations is maintained, our Logistics team cover a wide range of duties, and Tremco CPG’s Logistics Administrator, Sabina Derwis, is no exception to this. We caught up with Sabina to find out what a typical day for her involves.
“I have been an employee of Tremco CPG UK for the last three years.”
“Logistics administration often involves a diverse range of tasks. From managing inventory and orders, to coordinating shipments and optimising supply chain processes, I truly enjoy the variety in my daily work. Life in logistics can be challenging and problem-solving is a key part of the job. I find it rewarding when I overcome obstacles and find efficient solutions to logistical issues.
“My role often requires close collaboration with various teams within the company, such as procurement, production, and shipping. This interaction provides a sense of camaraderie and teamwork. Being a Logistics Administrator has a direct impact on the company’s operations. When I successfully streamline processes, reduce costs, or ensure products reach customers on time, I contribute to the organisation’s success, which is professionally rewarding.
“The logistics field is constantly evolving, with new technologies and best practices emerging all the time. I enjoy learning and staying up to date with the latest industry trends. My role provides ample opportunities for growth, and as I continue to gain further experience and expertise, I will have opportunities for advancement within Tremco CPG UK.”
“I am proud of various accomplishments, including optimising and improving complaints and returns processes; our efficiency has increased to over 99% since we first started. My end goal is achieving customer satisfaction.
“Additionally, I have developed effective inventory management systems, reporting data that minimise stockouts and overstock situations, as well as implementing a culture of continuous improvement, where processes are regularly reviewed and optimised for better results. I pride myself on fostering a collaborative and efficient approach to the Logistics team’s work environment, leading to improved communication and productivity.”
“Hmm, that’s a tough one. Let’s say, baking and keeping things organised relaxes me.”
