Passive fire protection

Minimize losses in the event of fire in accordance with fire regulations.

Ensuring the durability of facilities and the safety of their users is one of the key issues of modern construction, and fire is one of the main threats in this respect.

Fire protection of buildings is a complex and at the same time very important topic. Due to the fact that it concerns the protection of life and property, it has been regulated in detail in Polish and EU law.

In the CPG Europe group, the Nullifire brand responds to the challenges of passive fire protection of buildings.

Fire protection of steel structures

Steel does not burn, but under the influence of heat it loses its properties. At temperatures from 300 ° C, steel loses its strength, which drops sharply after exceeding the limit of 400 ° C. Depending on the type of profile and construction of steel elements, the steel core cracks at a temperature of 500-550 ° C, then there is a high probability of collapse of the burning building.

In the event of a cellulose fire (with burning materials such as wood, paper or textiles), the steel reaches a critical temperature of 500-550°C in less than 15 minutes!

Nullifire offers fire-resistant intumescent coatings that protect steel from reaching a critical temperature during a fire. Steel protected with an intumescent fire coating can retain a load capacity of up to 120 minutes. Thanks to this, rescuers gain additional time to evacuate people from the building and carry out activities related to extinguishing the fire.

Culverts and fire passages

In the event of fire, in particular when fire protection is inadequate, fire and smoke spread very quickly throughout the building. Fire protection products are designed to prevent the transfer of flames, heat and smoke between fire zones. Thanks to this, the rest of the building remains safe and allows for the evacuation of people in it and the work of fire crews.

Nullifire offers products, systems and solutions to meet the fire stop needs of building joints, including culverts and fire-resistant passages.
